About Feadship

Working without compromise in its pursuit of perfection, the Feadship team is driven to keep building, working and creating, until the unachievable is achieved. Feadship stands for the First Export Association of Dutch Shipbuilders. Founded in 1949 when six yards and De Voogt Naval Architects agreed to pitch their high-quality products on the American market under the Feadship name, today it features three parties. Two of the original yards – Royal Van Lent Shipyard and Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw – plus De Voogt Naval Architects. Each member of Feadship has a distinctive history and its own in-house disciplines and craftsmen.

In its drive to redefine the perception of perfection, the shipyard team aims to make every Feadship better than the last in terms of construction and technology. Space-age technologies and materials, hyper-modern design tools, and the latest insights into construction and systems are utilised to their fullest capabilities, and Feadships are products of an evolutionary R&D and overall quality enhancement philosophy that results in inimitable yachts.

Custom Yachts by Feadship

With every custom yacht project starting life as a blank sheet of paper, a Feadship uniquely reflects the character of its Owner. Anything is possible in a Feadship, and the build process is very much led by the client. The shipyard even invites each Owner to weld the very first section of hull and place a memento inside for good luck. Feadship embraces innovation to the extreme to turn visions that others would call ‘impossible’ into reality.

Notable Feadships

Feadship has launched hundreds of yachts since the brand launched in 1949, and with every yacht fully custom built, each is a game changer in its own way.

2018 launch ANNA, 110m/361’ in length, features numerous bespoke innovations, among them diesel- electric propulsion, an aircraft landing pad, a two-deck atrium and a football pitch.

PREDATOR (72.8m/238′10″, 2008) was the first Feadship with an axe-bow. Among the quietest Feadships ever built, she broke records for having the tallest engine room, the longest uninterrupted interior views, the largest draught and an unprecedented four-engine propulsion package.

78.2m/256’ VENUS was the world’s first mastless motor yacht, with her antennae and domes hidden within an architectural statement. An unprecedented amount of glass was also a key feature, with huge windows extending along the length of all main deck staterooms and an all-glass pavilion deck.

SAVANNAH (83.5m/274’, 2015) won multiple awards as the world’s first hybrid motor-superyacht, with a semi-submerged Nemo room among many extraordinary features.

70m/229’ JOY offers a design created with Bannenberg & Rowell, the first joint exterior since Jon Bannenberg’s death in 2002. And Feadship GO was completely refitted at the shipyard in 2015, including an extraordinary extension from 39m to 43m.
